Mario & Luigi Paper Jam has already proven that Mario and Paper Mario are in fact two separate beings in their own separate worlds, so one cannot simply argue that Paper Mario is “just another Mario” copy-pasted into paper form like Doctor Mario again. One cannot simply argue that Paper Mario would simply be a clone of regular Mario again like Doctor Mario, because the Paper Mario series, as many already know, is an RPG franchise practically packed to the brim with some very unique attack possibilities never seen elsewhere that could produce a superb moveset. The Mario cast in Smash has never really seen a member that represents the Mario RPG series yet, and while most people want Geno in that sense, I personally think Paper Mario is a much more interesting choice, since he can also represent the Mario & Luigi series in some ways.ĬOUNTERARGUMENTS Supporting This Character Inclusion: And if you've ever played a Paper Mario game, you know how different Paper Mario plays from non-papery Mario, so unlike Toon Link, Paper Mario would NOT be a clone of Mario! Mario & Luigi Paper Jam has already proven that Mario and Paper Mario are in fact two separate beings in their own separate worlds, so Paper Mario would essentially be the Toon Link of Mario. Paper Mario has already seen tons of trophies, as well as a stage and music track medley in Super Smash Bros., so the series itself is somewhat represented already. The Paper Mario series is quite popular and remembered among Mario fans even today. REASONS Supporting This Character Inclusion: Paper Mario The Origami King (Nintendo Switch, 2020) Paper Mario Color Splash (Nintendo Wii U, 2016) Mario & Luigi Paper Jam (Nintendo 3DS, 2015) Paper Mario Sticker Star (Nintendo 3DS, 2012) Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door (Nintendo GameCube, 2004) It's such a wonder how a paper thin character can carry so much stuff in his pockets, but then again, he is made of paper after all, which makes carrying paper-thin objects a lot easier than it looks! The paper-thin Mario we all know and love who has been on many chaotic adventures involving crazy battles and making many unique new friends since the Nintendo 64 days, even his three-dimensional counterpart! His many adventures have seen his many marvellous talents, using bravery, strategy, and courage to save the world from threats that seem to come out of nowhere, and in Super Smash Bros., Paper Mario makes use of all the papery abilities, partners, Pixls, stickers and items that he's gained on his many adventures. As a guy who loves both The Thousand-Year Door and Super Paper Mario, I had a lot of fun making this moveset and stage idea! So without further ado, HERE ARE MY IDEAS FOR PAPER MARIO IN SUPER SMASH BROS. since Brawl, I've been polishing what I think would be the all-time PERFECT moveset for Paper Mario if he ever joined Super Smash Bros.! This moveset and stage idea represents every single game in the Paper Mario series so far, so I really think it would please a lot of fans! If you have any more ideas for this character's moveset and stage, please mention them in the comments. As my most wanted challenger in Super Smash Bros.
